Medical Director > MEET DR. KILARU
Dr. Kilaru is an active member at Washington Hospital in Fremont where he is the chairman of the Department of Surgery, chairman of the Surgery Committee and a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Kilaru specializes in cosmetic and plastic surgery including contouring of the eyes, face and body. At Essence MedeSpa, he performs non-invasive wrinkle-correcting procedures such as Botox®, Collagen, Restylane® Juvederm and Radiesse. He closely monitors all FDA-approved laser procedures at the spa performed by experienced nursing personnel. Dr. Kilaru graduated in the top three percent of his class from a medical school in India. He completed his general surgery training at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and his plastic surgery residency, followed by specialization in hand surgery and microsurgery at the University of Southern California. His practice was at the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, CA. During and after his residency, he was on the faculty of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Southern California. In 2000, Dr. Kilaru moved to San Francisco Bay Area and joined the Deccan Pacific Medical Group in Fremont. His practice has mainly been at Washington Hospital.

Dr. Prasad Kilaru is a plastic surgeon and general surgeon certified by both American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery. 
Dr. Kilaru has coauthored several chapters in plastic surgery textbooks and has been teaching and presenting at multiple hospitals in the Bay Area. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.|
